Department of Medicine

The Medicine department of the institute comprises of Four (4) Units having total 148 no of indoor beds, one 8 bedded Intensive Care Unit and 5 no of paying cabins. The department is well equipped with modern facilities including a Dialysis unit, Endoscopy, EEG, EMG, Spirometry etc.

Academics:

The department is engaged in UG and PG training programme and the present intake of student in MD (Medicine) course is 18(Eighteen) per year. Ward clinics, seminar, symposium, journal club and other academic activities are regularly carried out. The faculty members also take up research projects and publish research papers in national and international journals on regular basis.

The department also organises CME, Workshops and conferences from time to time.

At present Dr. P. Bhattacharjee is the Professor and Head of the department of Medicine.
