Department of Ophthalmology

The department is having 40 (forty) no of bed and a dedicated Operation theatre. The OPD is open on all week days. It is well equipped with modern gadgets including IDO,OCT, FFA Yag laser, Green and retinal laser. Speciality clinics like Glaucoma clinic, Retina clinic, Oculoplasty and others are functioning.

The present staff members are as follows:

Associate professor- Dr. Prasanna Jit Das, Dr. N. K. Thakur

Assistant Professor-Dr. Z. H. Laskar, Dr. P. P. Roy

Academics:

It is a post graduate department and the MS and DO courses are recognised by MCI. The annual intake is 3(three) in MS and 2(two) in Diploma course per year. Research papers are published by the faculty members regularly. The department also organises Eye camp Seminars,CME and workshops are also organised by the department.

At present Dr. A.K Deb is the Professor and Head of the department.
